Types of Bent Bolts
Notes:
1. To avoid misunderstanding when specifying the dimensions of bent, it is recommended that they be given in the order indicated by the dimension letters in brackets about each illustration. For example, if a J-Bolt is required with D=3/8", L=6", C=1", E=5/8", thread length T=1-1/2", M=7/8" and N=1-1/4", it should be specified as a 3/8" x 6" x 1" x 5/8" x 1-1/2" x 7/8" x 1-1/4" J-Bolt.
2. Thread length is the distance from the extreme end of bolt to (and including) the last complete (full form) thread.
3. Threads may be cut or rolled; blank portion of rolled thread bolts may be slightly undersize, the nominal size of the bolt referring to basic major diameter of the threaded portion.
